The fact of the matter is dental insurance often does not get the attention\nthat it deserves, particularly in the new year. If you have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dolfielddental.com\/new-patients.html#insurance\">insurance\nbenefits<\/a>, they have likely reset and are ready to be utilized. Here\u2019s why\nnow is the best time to do so!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Start the Year Right With Prevention<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the biggest misconceptions about dental maintenance is\nthat you don\u2019t have to visit if you have no noticeable problems with your oral\nhealth. The fact is not only is this not true, but you\u2019re actively putting your\noral health at risk by assuming it is! Dental problems, including tooth decay\nand gum disease, don\u2019t really become apparent until it\u2019s already too late. If\nyou want to make sure you start your oral health off right in the new year, it\u2019s\nbest to get your preventive care out of the way and confirm no problems are\npresent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus, dental insurance is largely meant to cover the\nmajority of the cost of preventive care. This includes treatments like exams,\ncleanings and X-rays, all of which are necessary to ensuring no problems are\npresent and removing any and all harmful plaque and tartar from your teeth and\ngums. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Don\u2019t Wait Until the Last Minute!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All too often, people have a tendency to wait until the very\nlast minute to get their dental appointments out of the way. The closer\nit gets to the end of the year, the more difficult it\u2019s going to be to get an\nopen timeslot with the dentist.
